Paul Ranford (CADI Chairman, WES Ops Director) and Andrew Hosking (WES MD, CADI Director) man the CADI stand at the WEAF conference

WES will be flying over to the Paris Air show in June to exhibit as part of Cornwall Aerospace and Defence Initiative (CADI).

In 2005 the largest aerospace show in the world boasted over 238 aircraft, 1926 exhibitors and attracted 223,000 official trade visitors. CADI will be taking a portion of the WEAF stand to promote the capabilities of the members, and increase exposure on the international stage.

As founding members of the group, WES were also keen to support CADI during the recent outing to the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) Annual conference.

The CADI stand took a prominent position at the show and attracted substantial interest from several established contacts as well as some useful new contacts.

The day ended with our esteemed Chairman (WES Operations Manager- Paul Ranford) doing a rather unorthadox interview for BBC Radio Cornwall whilst sitting in a layby on the A30!

WES and other CADI members have since been in contact with BAe Systems regarding R+D and innovation projects, and have also become involved in the nationally significant Supply Chain 21st Century (SC21 programme).
