Meet the Team

James joined the company in 2006 having gained a 1st class Business Management Degree. He has steadily progress through the Customer Service, Marketing and Sales ranks and took over as MD in January 2023. He has an MBA, is a Six Sigma Greenbelt and is a Chartered Manager as well as being a Fellow of the CMI. In his spare time he has various hobbies and likes to get outdoors as much as possible!

Having won awards for his engineering prowess as an apprentice, Daniel has steadily worked his way up through the company, from skilled engineer, CAD/CAM technician, to Production engineer, to his current role as Operations Manager where he is involved with organising and motivating the engineering team as well as planning the production schedule.

With wide-ranging financial and management account experience in a variety of markets within both the voluntary, public and private sector Diane is well placed to manage our finance department. Part qualified CIMA and MAAT, Diane oversees all of the financial functions of the group companies. In her spare time, Diane enjoys horse riding, cycling and walking her dog.

Jeremy brings a broad engineering background, with hands-on experience running machines and factories, and many years spent meeting demanding customer requirements. He oversees the sales team and leads key commercial decisions, while building close, long-term relationships with customers to understand their needs and ensure we consistently deliver the very highest level of service.

Paul Emmery joined us in 2008 as a logistics expert with extensive MOD experience. Paul initially focussed on improving our logistics processes and stock control, making sweeping changes to streamline operations before moving into a customer support role within WES due to his attention to detail, customer focus and diligence. If you need a quote, an update on your order or any other query Paul will assist. Paul also acts as our H&S Manager. Paul volunteers with Oxfam at the weekend and is an ardent West Ham united supporter (Come on you Irons!).

Marc originally joined WES as an apprentice engineer and went on to become a highly skilled member of staff in the EDM and Lathe sections of the factory. He later joined the technical support team and spent 2 years liaising with customers before spending several years working in the subsea and aviation sectors but always wanted to be back at WES. In 2022 Marc re-joined WES as Production Manager and has quickly become a key part of the team.

Brian Farrow joined us in January 2020 as Key Account Manager for our Hardmetal customers. Brian has more than 40 years’ experience working in precision engineering and is a specialist in Tungsten Carbide. Based In Northampton Brian spends his time visiting customers around the country and improving product design and lifespan.

As a highly trained engineer and fully qualified CAD/CAM technician, Dave is able to provide complete technical solutions to his clients throughout the UK. He has an excellent knowledge of spot welding applications as well as general and advanced engineering capabilities.

Tegan joined the team in 2022 to undertake a Business Administration apprenticeship. She plays a vital role in ensuring customer orders, quotes and queries are processed accurately and on time and has become the first point of contact for a lot of our customers. She is always friendly, helpful and hard working.

Ethan joined the company in 2023 and completed his Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration in 2024, achieveing a Distinction. Ethan works closely with Tegan to prepare quotes, process orders, and updated customers ensuring a smooth work flow through the business. He will often be the friendly and proffessional voice answering the phone and dealing with queries. Outside of work Ethan enjoys football and table tennis.
