Nuclear energy generation is supported by a number of some of the most advanced precision engineers in the world. We’re proud to be part of this supply chain through our hardmetal engineering division, which is an approved Fit for Nuclear (F4N) supplier.

Our products and bespoke designs have a variety of applications within the Nuclear Energy Sector – both Nuclear Fission and Fusion extensively use hard and exotic materials that we are experts in machining.

Many components, such as radiation shields, used in these processes are made from Inconel due to its superior heat resistance strength and stiffness, excellent reliability and abrasive wear resistance. We employ a full material traceability structure for all our products.

We have directly been involved in the decommissioning of legacy sites, R&D within the ITER project and are working with Culham Centre for Fusion Energy and the UK Atomic Energy Authority, whilst moving towards the ‘launch’ of Hinckley Point C.
